Derek
smith has been at the forefront of Modern or Progressive
Jazz since the late Fifties, working with some of the
professions great musicians especially in the USA and
United Kingdom in particular.
Born
in England, Derek has worked with some of the all time
greats such as Benny Goodman and Mel Torme to name just
a couple.
Derek
now lives in the USA with his great trio, whom have backed
or featured such great musicians as Buddy DeFranco, Arnett
Cobb, Dick Meldonian, Carmen Leggio and George Duvivier.
