Simon James is a guitarist, performer, record artist, range, composer, and producer. As a solo artist he specialises in Flamenco / Spanish Guitar Music.
After two years at Leeds College Of Music and four years at Trinity College of music in London, Simon cofounded the band ‘Acoustic Alchemy’ in 1980 with Nick Webb, before going on to co-found ‘Kymaera’ in 1998 with Shane Hill. Kymaera has at present made six albums, two of which release by Prestige Elite, and a DVD filmed in Ronnie Scott’s famous jazz club with the singer Maria Ewing in 2002. During this time, he also made a number of albums which led to a series of albums for Prestige Elite called String Driven, released exclusively for download since November 2010.
Simon now takes us on a wonderful tour through his own magical interpretations of some of the greatest soul tracks ever produced, each as beautiful as the last with the enchanting melodies of his classical acoustic guitar.
Simon has produced various splendid recordings available on both CD and digital for Prestige Elite Records Limited, with his albums “The Music Of Bob Dylan”, “The Music Of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young” and “The Music Of Fleetwood Mac” all now available in all good record stores, as well as on all digital music platforms.
